Fake Banana

Whew, so sorry for the lack of updates this week. The weekend was so unbelievably relaxing that I didn't take responsibility for very much. It was great!

Brian and I are gearing up for SXSW 2009. Lots of day parties have been announced. I could smell the free booze and tacos in Austin from my desk at the waterfront in Seattle. Emails from friends are pouring in to make sure we all RSVP for the same parties. I can't wait to see my family, the beach, my buddies in Austin, music, Dan and Vanessa, and bbq in my mouth.

On Sunday we checked out the Indian paintings of Jodphur palace at SAAM. Brian and I took a long stroll to Smith first for a pitcher of mimosas, then a longer stroll to the museum. A stroll that made all of those beautiful detailed paintings the most intricate pieces of art I have ever seen. The details are so minute that the museum provides magnifying glasses.

After the museum we saw The Wrestler starring Mickey Rourke. Whoa. Fucking fanstastic if I may be so blunt. I've seen most of the Oscar nominated films for 2008-09 but this guy, Mickey, deserves the Oscar for best actor. It's amazing! Really go out and watch it before Sunday.
