"basically, i owe you, because you suggested i try the oddfellows cafe and i fell in love (i'm here right now). not only because the food is delicious, or the servers are incredibly friendly, but because i love the way this place feels. and as an added bonus, my favorite food columnist, Mark Bittman from the NYTimes, was here today reviewing the restaurant. Absolute elation, absolute. We need to enjoy this place together sometime very soon... "

uh, cool!? holy mother, i love mark bittman. i love his cooking show on pbs! i just got his cookbook "how to to cook everything" for christmas and everything i have made from it is super super yummy and simple. if i were julia i think i might have ran home to get my cookbook and have him sign it. i know, totally geeky but come on i have pictures of me with anthony bourdain and bobby flay on my fridge!

i wonder what bittman's review will be like. although the atmosphere at oddfellows is really sweet and mellow, i can't help but think their food is really mediocre but only because i feel it's all overpriced by like $1.50 - $2.
