Katie and Derrick’s trip to Seattle was seamless. A 34-hour drive from Texas to Seattle in two days, then non-stop action in Seattle. We went to the Pike Place Market, Olympic Sculpture Park, Ballard, Discovery Park, Via Tribunali, Stumptown, Café Presse, Volunteer Park, Trader Joes, and numerous walks around the neighborhood. They left yesterday, Portland bound, and I miss them dearly. I hope they have a safe and fun journey on their slow way back home.

Tonight, Rachel, gets back from Prague. This makes me really happy. I’m picking her up from the airport tonight at midnight. Brian told me yesterday that he felt summer was officially here. I think so too despite the dark clouds looming over the city and now I’ve got my bff back. I'm ready to celebrate her birthday and the summer.

Germany won there soccer game. Sorry, Kitsy! I can’t wait for the final on Sunday.

a video from when Germany beat Poland in this year's UEFA match

damn, German soccer coaches are sexy!

I don't know about all this futbol stuff. But if you like sports, and clearly you do, there is a very nice baseball team right here in the USA that I encourage you to root for. They're called the Minnesota Twins. A lifelong commitment to the Minnesota Twins will make your life complete.
