we have internet! i woke up on saturday morning (with a minor hangover from hh at moe bar) determined to get my internet connection working. i had forgotten that my ethernet connection on the computer tower is loose so that is why i could never get that little green light blinking on the modem. finally after 20 minutes of tweaking, i got my connection up and running and officially wireless. score!
brian and i moseyed on up to my new favorite store, last waltz, on 18th ave and e union. i found a card for my sis, a beautiful tin that i want to fill with lemon drop or ribbon candies, and one of my best purchases ever - a scarf that i'm hanging on my dining room wall. it's gorgeous!

afterwards, we headed to cafe presse for "coffee and a baguette" and ended up ordering caramelized onion soup, a croque monsieur, frites, a baguette, and a demi-pichet of wine. so much for a light lunch. the baguette is served with a rich french style butter and a house made rhubarb jam that i can't get enough of. brett, you would totally dig it! every time i have something that contains rhubarb i think of you.

later in the evening, dom and aaron came over. the snow that fell outside made my apartment feel cozy. we drank a copious amount of wine, listened to music and talked all evening. it's been a good weekend.
