this might seem totally gay but it made me really happy to see the fleet foxes at the walkmen show on saturday night. the lead singer, the pretty boy that doesn't sing, and the feller who i think looks like nick lachey with the really high voice. brian filled me in with the news that the lead singer is a big fan of the walkmen and even put their record, you & me, on his year end list.

I thought the performances were great, but I was confused by his fidgety jab-stepping around the stage and turning his hair into an Abraham Lincoln beard after each song. If you already have a healthy beard, why feel the need to pull your hair into the shape of a second beard?
