Friday night’s, Deerhunter show, at Nuemo’s was a lot like experiencing the prom night I always wanted. I wore a fun dress with purple tights and my new t-strap patent leather maryjanes. I started off early drinking champagne at the house, then vodka from a bottle, then more vodka (this time on ice, in a glass), then drinking really fast at the show when we realized we couldn’t take our drinks downstairs to the stage. Damn! Michelle and I danced to every single song; something I didn’t think was possible when you listen to their albums but somehow their music radiated throughout the venue. Brian and I even slow danced to one song and then when the disco ball came down and lead singer said to find a partner, we danced to a second slow jam. Although I did lose my ID (yes, again) and manage to get mustard stains on my coat and purple tights (what was I doing?) it was still the best prom night ever.
