Last night Rachel and I stopped by Hilltop Yarn to pick out materials for new projects. A scarf for her new mister man (as Kitsy would say) and for me, a beautiful rich purple rowan kid silk haze.
I am making a lace patterned scarf that joins at the ends so that it basically makes a large necklace and you can wrap around a bunch. The yarn is pretty and when I'm finished I imagine it will look a lot like cotton candy, purple cotton candy, around my neck. I can't wait to host craft night tonight, I just want to sit down and relax with my new projects and friends.
Afterward we saw a compilation of six French shorts at SIFF Cinema called, Paris Vu Par. The theme was oddly funny with strange domestic issues that wove throughout each film. I wish I spoke French. For now I will cure my wish with a "Speak French" podcast from Itunes. Click here for a clip from the beginning of the film.
