Yesterday, Brian and I headed to Easy Street to pick up my ‘reserved’ copy of the Fleet Foxes on vinyl. I was so happy to realize that the record also included the Sun Giant EP. We began to feel hungry and never could figure out a place to eat in Queen Anne, so we hopped on a #18 heading towards Ballard. Surely something would be open in Ballard but no…of course not. The Farmers Market was wrapping up when we arrived so we walked over to Senor Moose which was closed until dinner time, La Carta closed as well. We finally found a sandwich joint, The Other Coast, where we ate some deliciously huge sammies. Brian ordered the Ragin’ Cajun - peppered turkey, pepper jack cheese, red peppers, salsa mayo, tomatoes and onions. It was so freakin’ amazing! I ordered the sub-par chicken salad sandwich on sourdough bread…I don’t know why I didn’t like this one but I know I’ve definitely had better. Chicken Salad sandwich is probably my favorite sandwich in the whole world so I’ve definitely had better.

The opening of Cairo was probably the best gallery opening I’ve ever been to. Maybe because I knew so many people there but the crowd was so nice and filled with people I’ve seen walking around Capitol Hill. The occasion was a fashionable one that included hipsters and non-hipsters, a tub filled with ice cold PBR, and plenty of gorgeous art. I want to inquire about a piece but I’m afraid I will have to buy it once I ask. Dang.

The weather is retarded. It rained hard off and on from 830am-245pm. The time is now 621pm and the clouds are breaking up and I think I see sun glowing over the Puget Sound. Okay, it’s time to leave work.
