Well, I put a fraud alert up on my identity since I lost my drivers license on Monday. I really didn’t think it was that big of a deal but a guy at my work told me a horror story about his girlfriend getting effed big time by some idiots that stole her wallet. Now granted I didn’t lose my wallet but the thieves were using her id to withdraw money out of their bank account. Yikes! Getting the alert setup was the easiest thing I’ve done in a while.
Kristian (workmate) told me a story about how he is now a freak about security and identity and stuff. Recently his brother-in-law was in town and asked if he could use his internet so Kristian turned off his password to his modem so that his bro could use it. After his bro left he forgot to turn it back on, this was back in early March. Last week, the feds came to his house and asked him a million questions about child pornography. I guess his neighbor a house down was using his wireless connection and the Feds got a tip. That is so effed! Damn. Well, if there is one thing I’ve done right from the start is that I have always had a password on our wireless.
My new favorite way to waste 20 minutes at work…walk 7 minutes through beautiful
